A local business has added a new service to its repertoire to help fight the signs of aging.

Hawaiian Beach Tanning Salon in Ladner recently brought in a Beauty Angel.

The Beauty Angel won't help customers look like they just got back from a tropical vacation, but it can help many on the road to firmer, clearer, younger looking skin.

The system uses 30 full-body, non-UV red light lamps, along with platform-based vibration exercise technology, to stimulate the body to rejuvenate skin and tone muscles.

Hawaiian Beach owner John Holmes said the machine can help get rid of pimples and diminish the signs of scars, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles.

The lights stimulate cell energy and enhance the body's natural process of skin rejuvenation.

The Ladner tanning salon is one of only a few locations in the Lower Mainland that offers the Beauty Angel. There are about 15 to 20 in Western Canada.

Hawaiian Beach also recently added four independent whole body vibration machines to the operation.

Holmes said they recommend an initial three-month package for customers using the Beauty Angel system. Initially, three 12minute sessions a week are recommended followed by one to two weekly sessions to maintain and preserve the results.

Customers using the system are also encouraged to include a healthy, balanced diet, regular hydration and exercise as part of the program, as well as limiting the use of tobacco and alcohol.

Hawaiian Beach Tanning Salon is located at 4814 Haviland St. in Ladner Village. For more information, call 604-946-1611.
