Reach Foundation director Tanya Corbet, executive director Renie D'Aquila and fundraising manager Joni Wright were thrilled to receive a $20,000 contribution from Matcon Civil Constructors earlier this month.

Lance Perkins and Adam Whitworth of Matcon presented the donation that will go toward the construction of a new Ladner facility for Reach Child and Youth Development Society.

"Social responsibility is at the heart of Matcon Civil Constructors," said D'Aquila, "and we are so grateful for their commitment to our Building for Children Together campaign. Once complete, the new Reach centre will serve generations to come as place of learning and belonging for children with special needs and their families."

To date, almost $4 million has been raised from individual and community donors to build a resource centre in the heart of Ladner. The proposed 20,000-square-foot building will replace the current

Ladner Kinsmen House on 47th Avenue and allow Reach to provide new and enhanced programs for children with special needs. A new centre will increase the number of children served and make Reach services more visible and easily accessible to families.

Reach Child and Youth Development Society has been providing services to children and their families since 1959. Over 1,000 children and their families benefit from Reach's services on an annual basis.
