It hasn't taken too long for Stir Coffee House to pick up its first Delta Optimist Readers' Choice Award.
It's "great to be recognized" like that, says owner Robert Lowe, who opened the Ladner Village coffee shop last September.
He notes business is going well so far.
"Everything's been word of mouth," he says, adding that every month business seems to be getting better and better.
"We've got a great base of regular clientele coming through here."
Customers can pick up other beverages and food in addition to coffee at Stir Coffee House.
The coffee shop offers a single cup brew.
"Basically it's coffee we can grind fresh, brew fresh on a cup basis."
All of the shop's coffees are single origin, meaning there are no blends of different types of beans in the coffee itself.
