The annual Petra's Arts Cafe - Food on the Corner blanket and clothing drive takes place this Sunday.
Petra's Arts Cafe is once again teaming up with its friends at Food on the Corner to collect blankets, gloves/mittens, socks and more to share with the homeless on the Downtown Eastside.
Food on the Corner will be at Petra's (you can't miss the truck) on Sunday from 1 to 3: 30 p.m., rain, snow or shine. The organization, which provides foods to those on the Downtown Eastside weekly, is hoping those extra gloves, mittens, socks and blankets find a new home this year.
For all those who donate items, Petra's will provide one complimentary 12ounce coffee or eight-ounce hot chocolate.
It will also be an opportunity to meet some of the folks from Food on The Corner, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
