Business community gathers at Dwight Hall to recognize recipients for 2023

Powell River Chamber of Commerce hosted its business awards gala on Saturday, April 20, at Dwight Hall in Townsite. Winners and runners-up were recognized for services provided in 2023 in 16 different categories during the annual event.

Pet Valu (Lisa Turner) was chosen as Employer of the Year, while Royal LePage-Powell River (Warren Behan) was named runner-up in the same category. 

Tempco Heating and Cooling Specialists’ employee Andre Huiberts was chosen as Employee of the Year, with VK Wellness Initiative’s Marie Houle receiving runner-up honours.

Westview U-Vin U-Brew won the Small Business of the Year award; Kelly’s Health Shop was the runner-up.

Four Tides Hospice Society for Not-For-Profit; Powell River Orphaned Wildlife Society, runner-up

Elemental Millwork received the Sustainability Award; Remote Marine Solutions, runner-up

Laszlo Tamasik Dance Academy was recognized for Business Excellence.
