RBC Foundation has donated $20,000 to the Delta Hospital Foundation to fund high priority equipment.

The donation will fund six crash carts and 10 isolation carts to be used in the ER, medical floor and in cardiology and surgical departments.

A crash cart is used to transport and dispense emergency medication and equipment in the case of a life-threatening or potentially fatal cardiac event. An isolation cart is designed for infection prevention and control.

"The staff at Delta Hospital bring the best in health and patient care to our community," said Lisa Hoglund, major gifts manager for the foundation. "RBC Foundation's generosity allows us to continue to provide exceptional health care to residents."

"At RBC, we believe the health and wellness of local communities is of vital importance," said Cecelia Lawson, manager of the Tsawwassen branch.

RBC has been a supporter of the foundation's fundraising efforts since 1999, funding urgently needed equipment to meet the community's needs.
