Representatives from Easter Seals and the Special Olympics dropped by the Tsawwassen Safeway last Saturday to put the spotlight on a fundraising campaign.

Easter Seals ambassador Natasha Kaweski and local Special Olympics athlete Cory Duhaime, who also works at the Tsawwassen Safeway, were there to help to launch the campaign.

Last year more than $1.6 million was raised during the campaign, which sent hundreds of kids with disabilities to Easter Seals camps and provided support for programs offered through Special Olympics.

During the month of April, Safeway customers are invited to donate $2 to the campaign and in return they will receive 5 AIR MILES Reward Miles.

One hundred per cent of the proceeds raised during the campaign will support Easter Seals Canada and Special Olympics Canada.
