Last month's 33rd annual Jog for a Jug and Jog for a Mug raised more than $2,000 for a local charity.

This fun run takes place every year at the Reef Tavern in Point Roberts and is organized by the RunInn Delta.

Over 200 runners and walkers lined up for the 11.2-kilometre route with Jeff Leake taking first place overall in the men's division with a time of 43:49 and Courtney McEwan winning the top women's title with a great time of 45:40.

The day also includes a kids one-kilometre fun run. All the kids receive a medal for the completion of the event and a mug of rootbeer from the Reef. Jog for a Jug and Jog for a Mug are both fundraisers for Hannah's Heroes and this year the race managed to raise $2,500. Organizers thank everyone who competed for their support.
