Four Delta players will be suiting up for Team B.C. at the U18 Canadian Field Lacrosse Championships at the end of the month in Halifax.

Attack players Riley Phillips and Riley Duimel, midfielder Jared Beaton and defender Trevor Snow all cracked the 23-player B.C. roster following a tryout process that began nearly a year ago.

Phillips and Snow were also members of the B.C. team in 2014 as it looks to retain the First Nations Trophy.

The tournament runs from Aug. 27-30.

Meanwhile, several Delta Lacrosse players and coaches were part of B.C. teams that competed in recent National Box Lacrosse Championships, held across the country.

The Midget squad was guided by longtime local coach Trevor Smith. His roster featured Chase Wright, Justin Smith and Brody Harris. B.C. returned from Whitby with a bronze medal.

The B.C. Pee Wee team was also in Whitby and Silas Richmond was part of the 20-player roster that captured silver.

At the Bantam Nationals in Saskatoon, B.C. earned silver with a roster that included Owen Borthwick and Mitchell Sandberg.
