Big crowd on hand at Surrey-Delta border for Jollibee opening

The opening marks the 100th outlet for the restaurant chain in North America

Hundreds of eager eaters showed up Thursday morning near the Surrey-Delta border for the grand opening of the newest Jollibee restaurant in the Lower Mainland.

The fast-food Filipino restaurant, best known for their fried chicken, spaghetti, burgers and pies, is located at the Strawberry Hill mall (12101-72 Ave.) in Surrey. It’s the fourth Jollibee in the Lower Mainland. The opening also marks the 100th for the international restaurant chain in North America.

In addition to its popular dishes, the restaurant prides itself on a “universal appeal of the family restaurant values that our brand represents that drive our growth.”

The first Jollibee in the Lower Mainland opened in Feb. 2022 on Granville Street in Vancouver, immediately drawing long lines. The Strawberry Hill location is the second for Surrey, the first opening late last year with a huge crowd on hand.
