A local youngster suffered serious injuries last week after being struck by a car while riding his bike.
The 12-year-old boy was crossing the street in the 5500-block of Ladner Trunk Road just before 6 p.m. last Thursday when he was hit by a westbound car.
He had to be airlifted to B.C. Children's Hospital. Initially the boy's condition was listed as critical but his condition was later upgraded to stable with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The incident is still under investigation and it's not yet known if there will be any charges.
