A t-shirt fundraising campaign has raised $5,000 each for a pair of local charity organizations.

It was back in August when the Delta Fire Fighters Charity Society collaborated with Stir Coffeehouse owner Rob Lowe for the “We’re in This Together” t-shirt project, reflecting the community coming together to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indalma Creative developed the t-shirt design and did promotional materials - all for free.  Safeguard in Tilbury printed the shirts.

T-shirts were sold at the following businesses: Stir Coffee House, Muddy River Landing, Barnside Brewing, Spectra Reflections of Home, Four Winds Brewing and Petra's by L'Aroma.

“It was definitely a big collaboration of effort among groups, including Indalma Creative who did all the promotional designs for the shirts and promotional signage, for free,” explained DFFCS director Kristy Storey.

The three month campaign would go on to generate $11,190.

South Delta Starfish and W.I.N.G.S.  (Women In Need Gaining Strength) each received $5,000 with the remaining funds helping with the costs of the t-shirts.

South Delta Starfish is an organization that helps provide food for school aged children, representing seven local schools.

W.I.N.G.S. is a transitional home/shelter which assists women and children fleeing abuse. Among their locations is Azure Place in Delta.
