SPECIAL EVENTS

-Creative Treasures 8th Christmas Craft Fair. 25 crafters offer an exciting selection of treasures for Christmas decorating and giving. A wide selection of Christmas decorations, fashion accessories, art work, soaps, jam, jellies, and sweet and savory mixes. Wednesday, Nov. 9 to Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at East Delta Hall. Admission is free and refreshments are available. Lots of free parking available. [email protected].

-To honour Canadian veterans a pub sing along with the ElderCollege Singers will be held at KinVillage, 5430-10th Avenue, Tsawwassen, Nov. 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. The bar will be open and hot appetizers will be served. Admission is by donation. 604-943-0225.

-There will be a Christmas Village Bazaar at Ladner United Church on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be baking, books, candy, crafts, treasures, an auction, lunch and games. Visit www.ladnerunited.org for more info.

-The 11th annual Light of Remembrance Service, an evening of music and reflection, will be held Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 7: 30 p.m. at Cedar Park Church, 5300-44th Ave., Ladner. The evening is open to all who have lost a loved one. There is no charge and no offering will be collected. For more information call 604-946-6040.

ARTS

-Come take a leisurely browse, enjoy local artist's fine art at a new South Delta Artists Guild show, "Creative Café." Doors are open Friday/Saturday/ Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

-Come and enjoy the paintings of Laurel Johnson at the South Delta Library during the month of November. The display is in the library meeting room.
