?Behind the Cover returns to both the Tsawwassen Library and the Ladner Pioneer Library with a mystery theme. If you feel you've read all the books of your favourite authors and you are ready to be intrigued by some titles you might not have found on your own, come to this informal book talk. SENIORS

?There's a November birthday lunch on Friday, Nov. 25, at 12: 30 p.m. at the McKee Seniors Recreation Centre in Ladner. Lasagna, salad, dessert & beverage. Music by Langley Seniors Silver Belles & Beaus. Members: $6., guests: $7.

?A Christmas Market will be held at KinVillage Community Centre, 543010th Ave., Tsawwassen Saturday, Nov. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is by donation. Nonperishable food items for the food bank will be gratefully received.

?A Christmas Lunch will be held at Noon at KinVillage Community Centre, Friday, Dec. 2. Turkey pot pie, salad and an assortment of tarts or English trifle will be served and featured entertainment will be provided by the ElderCollege Singers and special guest vocalist Jeroen Vermeullen. Tickets are $11 for members and $13 for non-members. The bar will be open for business as will the boutique. 6049430225.

FUND RAISERS

?The Ladner Lawn Bowling Club's Christmas Tea and Bake Sale is on Saturday, Nov. 26 from 9: 30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Delicious cakes, cookies and pies will be sold at very reasonable prices as a fundraiser for our new green. We are located at 5128-47th Ave., Ladner, opposite McKee House.

?New Year's Eve with The Blue Meenies! Ladner Community Center - doors open at 7: 30 p.m. Tickets $35 each - includes a midnight lunch. Call 604880-4504 for tickets. All proceeds go to DSS Dry Grad 2012.

?The Salvation Army's annual Christmas Kettle campaign kicks-off on Friday, Nov. 25. Look for kettles at the Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall, the Ladner and Tsawwassen B.C. ?A monthly sale featuring jewelry, watches, 'Designer Collections' and stocking stuffers is on Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Hospice Cottage Thrift Store, 9: 30 a.m. to 4 p.m., 1521-56th St., Tsawwassen.

?The 11th annual Light of Remembrance Service, an evening of music and reflection, will be held Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 7: 30 p.m. at Cedar Park Church, 5300-44th Ave., Ladner. The evening is open to all who have lost a loved one. There is no charge and no offering will be collected. For more information call 604-946-6040.

?Join us for our fourth annual Courtyard Christmas in Tsawwassen on Dec. 3 from 3 to 5 p.m. under the glass roof by RONA at the Tsawwassen Shopping Centre. Featuring five community choirs who will be performing Christmas carols. Visit with Santa, free goody bags, free beverages and cookies, tree ornament decoration and learn about Operation Red Nose. ?On Dec. 4 from 1 to 3 p.m., Santa Comes to Cammidge House. He will bring treats for the small children, there will be refreshments for the family and the house will be decorated for the Christmas holidays. Come visit and photograph Santa with the children - enjoy the beginning of the festive season. Everyone welcome. Cammidge House is in Boundary Bay Regional Park on the way to Centennial Beach.

ARTS

?South Delta Artists Guild new show starting Nov. 24 "Big and Small." Just in time for gift giving, the treasure of a local artists fine art work. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Fri/Sat/Sun. The guild also has life drawing every Monday morning from 9: 30 a.m. to noon. Live model in attendance.

?The Romantic Piano, a performance from the Delta Youth Symphony Orchestra and pianist Anthony Lee is set for Sunday, Nov. 27 at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel, 7551 Westminster Hwy.
