?The Delta Photo Club begins its fall season on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 7: 30 p.m. at the KinVillage Recreation Centre. Come one, come all to our start up meeting of the year! Welcome members and guests! We'll begin with a fun filled warm up activity with prizes, have a brief run through of what happens at club each week and then finish with a sharing of images from some members' trip to The Palouse area of Eastern Washington. ?Join Tom Bearss and his informal birdwatchers for a 2.5-hour amble through the beautiful natual regional park overlooking Boundary Bay. FUND RAISERS

?Ladner Elementary Grade 6 & 7 French immersion students are back again with another fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 10: 30 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m. This time they will be at Ladner's Save-on-Foods with a "Spin the wheel for points." All spins win you Save-on points. Spins are $2 each, or three spins for $5. All proceeds will go towards the student's trip to Quebec's L'Auberge du Mont in February, where they will be visiting Montreal and Quebec. Everyone is welcome to come and play.

SPECIAL EVENTS

ARTS

?The Delta Community Choir is starting up again in preparation for our annual Christmas concert and we would love to welcome some new faces and voices to join us. Please come and check us out Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Benediction Lutheran Church in Tsawwassen to join our musical family.

?Adults who would like to learn to play a concert band instrument or refresh their skills can sign up for beginner and intermediate adult community concert bands that meet in the Delta Secondary band room (4615-51st St.) from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays during the school year.
