The South Delta Therapeutic Touch Network meets every second Wednesday of the month. The next meeting / practice session is on Dec. 14 at the Natural Comfort Wellness Centre in Tsawwassen. The Canadian Cancer Society Volunteer Driver program in Ladner/Tsawwassen is in need of more volunteer drivers to take patients to and from their treatment. Training and dispatch are provided. Time commitments are flexible. The Delta Hospital Auxiliary Society runs a number of units within our hospital that provide services to patients and their families as well as staff. We are currently looking for volunteers skillful in office work, merchandizing for the Dogwood Gift Shop, and food services to coordinate the Courtyard Cafe. Volunteer Grandparents is a non-profit organization that does valuable work in the Lower Mainland, for families and the community. Our two programs, the Family Match Program, and School Grandparent Program allow for children without the presence of seniors in their lives to appreciate and gain further understanding of other generations, and have positive elderly role models. The Ladner/Tsawwassen Kinsmen Club invites new and old members to join us, the first and third Mondays of each month at Kin House in Ladner. Join the only all-Canadian service club. ARTS

Festive Open Stage, 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at the Tsawwassen Arts Centre (1172-56th St.). The first half of the evening will be a regular Open Stage. The last half will be a festive sing-a-long (song sheets provided) with Patti McGregor on keyboard accompanying the audience which magically becomes the choir. The general public is invited to attend. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. Admission is $4. This is sponsored by the Delta Arts Council and the Corporation of Delta.

South Delta Artists Guild new show "Big and Small" just in time for gift giving. The treasure of a local artists fine art work or give yourself the gift of an art course. Check out the workshop board for art classes for all levels and open to non-members all levels taught for very affordable prices. The guild also has a Monday morning life drawing class with a live model in attendance. Call to inquire or ask while you're there. The gallery is open Thursday/Fri/Sat/Sun from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
