Taking credit where credit is not due shows a lack of ethics. The $440 million that Kerry-Lynne Findlay says she delivered to Delta in her many speeches is not what it appears. Using the word "delivered" is correct as in delivering the mail.
Beware the illusion of her hard work.
For starters, $365 million was for the South Delta Perimeter Road, a project in the works long before Findlay arrived in politics. The other transportation
and infrastructure projects, such as dredging the Ladner Harbour and TFN water main, are all expected projects partially funded by any federal government.
The community, education, sports, cultural and business activities must all complete a grant form, then submit it to the government to request funding for their projects. This is the normal procedure. It is the grassroots organizations that do the hard work in initiating the request, not the MP.
