Counterfeit bills prompt warning

The Delta police responded to reports Monday of counterfeit money being used to make purchases at businesses in Tsawwassen.

Investigators have determined that six businesses had counterfeit United States currency passed to them over the course of the day.

The unknown suspect passed $50 bills in all instances that have been reported to police.

Police are warning the business community of these incidents and want to encourage staff to check for authenticity of the money being passed.
