This week's Crime Beat from Delta Police highlights March as Distracted Driving Month.

Editor’s note: In cooperation with Delta Police, the Crime Beat feature is changing a bit.

Moving forward, Delta Police will be outlining their calls for service in the community as well, highlighting an issue or issues of concern for residents, along with tips for the public when appropriate to the highlighted topic.

This week DPD are highlighting Distracted Driving Awareness Month.

DPD calls for service for the week of Feb. 28 to March 6, 2022:

A distracted driving violation ticket comes with a $368 fine, and add four driver penalty points to your driving record.

Last week, DPD officers took seven impaired drivers off the roads.

3 - 90 day Immediate Roadside Prohibitions

3 - 3 day Immediate Roadside Prohibitions
