A cyclist is in hospital with head and leg injuries after being hit by a car last Friday around 6: 40 p.m..
The woman was riding in the 5500-bock of 44th Avenue in Ladner.
Witnesses told police she was riding eastbound of 44th Avenue on the north side of the road when she suddenly attempted to cross to the south side and was struck by a car.
She suffered a broken leg and head injuries and remains in hospital, said Delta police spokesperson Const. Ciaran Feenan.
"The investigation was conducted by traffic section members, and the investigation is still ongoing at this time," he said.
