Local group Hope for Dalit Women will have a booth at tomorrow's Summerfest event.
The group will be raising awareness and fundraising for the Dalit people of India. Also known as untouchables, the Dalits are referred to as outcasts of Indian society.
Ice cream, T-shirts and items handmade by Dalit women including bracelets, earrings, handbags and scarves will be sold at the group's booth.
Miss Canada Tara Teng will also make an appearance at the booth.
Summerfest goes from 10: 30 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m. tomorrow at Wellbrook Winery, 4626-88th Street.
