Several Delta builders and designers have been named as finalists for the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of British Columbia (CHBA BC) 2021 Georgie Awards.
Kemp Construction’s project in Boundary Bay – is a finalist in the category of Best Residential Renovation $300K to $499K which added 1,000 square feet to the existing home using a panellized wall system constructed offsite and assembled locally.
The new space went up in just one day and accelerated the building schedule.
The innovative design was created by Tsawwassen’s Sarah Gallop Design Inc., who integrated the old panabode home that the owners loved with the new addition.
Sarah Gallop Design Inc. topped the nominees list and are finalists for 12 awards.
Besides Kemp Construction, they also collaborated with Delta’s Jagpal Developments Ltd. and Best Builder’s Ltd. who are up for the Custom Home Builder of the Year award.
“Last year was a challenging year for many people and businesses, yet, in the midst of the pandemic, CHBA BC builder and renovator members from throughout the province have been able to continue to renovate or build new homes and communities for British Columbians safely, demonstrating their resilience, professionalism and commitment to safe work sites,” said Neil Moody, CEO of CHBA BC.”
The Georgie Awards allow builders to showcase their work and entries are evaluated by a jury of out of province industry peers who acknowledge their innovation in design and quality.
The winners will be announced at a virtual gala on March 20.
