The event in the Thrifty Foods parking lot will see Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley riders spend the weekend in a scissor lift to raise money for the annual ride.

Cops for Cancer is an annual fundraising ride that sees law enforcement personnel ride hundreds of kilometres throughout the province to raise money and awareness for kids with cancer. The money raised goes to the Canadian Cancer Society specifically for pediatric cancer research and programs that support children living with the disease and their families.

The officers will be in the lift from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon.
