Here are a few of the calls that were keeping Delta police officers busy on Monday, Aug. 8.

North Delta:

- Theft: 10900-block River Road - Sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) stole several feet of wire. Items left near the scene were seized for forensic examination in an effort to identify possible suspects.

- Street check/ recovered stolen auto/arrest: 7200-block Wilson Avenue - An officer conducting patrols in the area noted a vehicle leaving a compound. The officer stopped the vehicle and it was determined to be stolen from the Richmond area. Upon further investigation it is believed that the driver of the stolen auto siphoned diesel from several vehicles in the compound he was leaving. A 37-year-old male from Delta was arrested and held in custody for a hearing Tuesday morning.

- Recovered stolen auto: 8800-block 116th Street - Complainant reported a freightliner dump truck parked in front of their residence. Upon police arrival it was determined that the truck was stolen from the Surrey area. Truck towed for forensic examination.

- Recovered stolen auto: 1600-block Summit Crescent - Complainant reported a red Toyota Supra parked in front of their residence for several days. Police checked the vehicle and it was determined to be stolen from the Maple Ridge area. Vehicle towed.
