Delta police are investigating a case of found human remains in North Delta.
Police responded to a report at approximately 11 a.m. Thursday from a passerby in the 10700-block of Nordel Way.
“Officers arrived to the wooded area and have confirmed that they are human remains,” a press release stated.
The release added the major crimes section has been called in, which is part of police’s response protocol, to “process the scene and determine the circumstances.”
Police will be working with the coroner to confirm the gender and identity of the person, the release added.
