Delta sends 17 to Western Canada Games

Delta will be represent by 17 athletes and officials when the 2011 Western Canada Summer Games get underway on Friday in Kamloops. The Team B.C.

Delta will be represent by 17 athletes and officials when the 2011 Western Canada Summer Games get underway on Friday in Kamloops.

The Team B.C. contingent includes 345 athletes, ranging from 12 to 22 years of age, competing in 19 sports against Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nunavut, Northwest Territories and Yukon Territory.

BC has won the Western Canada Summer Games Cup every year since the Games' inception in 1975.

Delta's contingent includes: Ryan Anderson (swimming), Alessia Azermadhi (soccer), Taylor Bamford (basketball), Dalton Boon (swimming), Gord Collings (softball), Rosemary Davis (soccer), Gurinder Dosanjh (athletics), Molly Driscoll (field hockey), Alex Farquharson (gymnastics), Joy Fera (mission staff), Manvir Gahir (basketball), Danielle Kisser (swimming), Maxwell Lattimer (rowing), Jasmine Mander (soccer), Samantha McComb (field hockey), Trevor Pearson (cycling) and Sessen Stevens (soccer).

The Games run from Aug. 5-14
