Delta team brings Firefighter Combat Challenge trophy home

The Delta Fire Team Westshore Terminals showed off its Firefighter Combat Challenge world championship trophy at municipal hall Wednesday afternoon.

The Delta Fire Team Westshore Terminals showed off its Firefighter Combat Challenge world championship trophy at municipal hall Wednesday afternoon. The team, Rob Lemon (second from left), Jamie McGarva, Reid Taylor, Ryan Rickards and Mark Millward, finally captured the trophy after years of trying, beating out 80 other teams from 12 countries at the world championship in Las Vegas in October. The team is joined by team alumni as well as Denis Horgan (left), vice-president and general manager at Westshore Terminals, which has been a major sponsor of the team for the last 18 years, Mayor Lois Jackson and TSI’s Mike McLellan.Gord Goble
