If you’re of a certain vintage, you probably remember playing on this old boat (pictured), which sat for years at Centennial Beach in Tsawwassen.
The above 1965 photo from the pages of the Delta Optimist shows visiting Vancouver residents Nicky and Vicki Ford having fun on the old craft, which had been donated years earlier by the United Fishermen and Allied Workers’ Union.
The boat was the centre of play for many thousands of children who visited the area with their families.
