Delta throwback: The Breakers

Known for such classics as ‘Raise a Little Hell’, ‘We’re Here for a Good Time’ and ‘The Boys in the Bright White Sports Car’, Canadian rock band Trooper was a regular at The Breakers tavern.

Let’s go back to the April 1986 pages of the Optimist when The Breakers in Point Roberts once again advertised the upcoming music act Trooper.

The business also advertised bingo three nights a week with all the “hard cards” you could play for $10.

They also had free pool on weekdays.

On Saturday, April 19th of that year, the place was packed for the Spinks-Holmes boxing match. Two years later, it's safe to say everyone was disappointed going down there for the Spinks-Tyson fight,
