This holiday season, look to make a difference in your own backyard.

Earthwise Society is offering a number of ways to support education, food security, mental health and environmental initiatives this season.

One way to support your community is by buying local food, and Earthwise's Holiday CSA Boxes offer the perfect choice for holiday meals. For $20, you will get a box of seasonal, organic Earthwise produce available for pick-up on Saturday, Dec. 17.

If you are subscribing to a 2017 CSA with Earthwise, sign-up before Dec. 12 and you will get your Holiday Box for free.

You can also choose from a range of Local Impact Gifts that support Earthwise initiatives. Local Impact Gifts such as the Family Harvest Box Sponsorship make a big difference locally, and donors will receive a charitable tax receipt as well as a holiday card they can give to a loved one.

The Earthwise Farm Store, a social enterprise that helps Earthwise run its community programs, will be open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Dec. 17 for local, organic produce.

The Earthwise Society and Earthwise Farm Store are located at 6400-3rd Ave. in Boundary Bay. For more information about Local Impact Gifts, Holiday CSA Boxes, CSA sign-up or the Earthwise Farm Store, call 604-946-9828 or email [email protected].
