EastLink took over ownership of Delta Cable in 2007.

Update: EastLink has confirmed that service has been restored.

The loss of Internet, phone and TV service for EastLink customers in parts of Delta has customers frustrated.

The Optimist received an email Monday afternoon from a resident saying that service has been out since Saturday morning and a neighbour is having the same problem.

The resident lamented bundling all their services with one company, adding the issue would be especially troublesome for those who don’t own a cell phone.

A technical support person via EastLink’s online support chat room confirmed the issue, saying that they [Eastlink] do not have a timeline to resolve the problem as of yet, while technicians are still working to fix the issue.

EastLink took over ownership of Delta Cable in 2007, just a few months after the founding Thomas family sold the company to Persona. Persona was then acquired by Bragg Communications, which operates EastLink.
