Envelope found but cash goes missing

Complainant leaves significant amount of money in washroom of Ladner business

TSAWWASSEN

July 28, 1 a.m., 4800-block of 3rd Avenue: Complainant reported someone had stolen approximately $50 worth of gas from their vehicle parked at their residence. The gas cap on the vehicle does not lock.

July 28, 8:40 a.m.,4800-block of 7A Avenue: Complainant reported their vehicle parked at their residence was keyed sometime over the past month. Police attended and observed streaks from a rubber material that was removed, leaving some light scratches.

July 28, 12:09 p.m.,1200-block of 56th Street: Complainant reported that two fraudulent withdrawals totaling $580 were made from their bank account on the same day. Two bank cards in the possession of the complainant were cancelled.

July 28, 2:25 p.m.,200-block of 67A Street: Complainant reported their vehicle parked on the street had been rummaged through sometime overnight. A $20 first aid kit was stolen. Vehicle likely left unlocked as the alarm was not activated and there was no damage.

July 28, 4:48 p.m.,1200-block of 56th Street: Complainant at a business reported two teens concealed a box of food under a T-shirt and when asked to take it out, refused. The teens fled the store on skateboards.

July 29, 4:52 p.m., 500-block of Milsom Wynd: Complainant reported their vehicle was broken into and a laptop and two backpacks stolen. One backpack is black and blue with Team BC logo and contains a Team BC track suit and 300 various Warhammer models.

July 29, 10:24 p.m.,4900-block of 3rd Avenue: Complainant reported an unknown male in his home. The complainant confronted the suspect, who fled the home. Nothing appears to have been stolen. Police are reminding the public to report any suspicious activity and to keep their doors and windows secured, even in the heat.

LADNER

July 26, 12:05 p.m.,4600-block of 52A Street: Complainant reported eggs had been thrown at a neighbourhood "share shelf" containing used books. Several incidents of vandalism have occurred over the past month and a half but have not been reported.

July 26, 1:45 p.m.,5200-block of Ladner Trunk Road: Complainant reported they left an envelope containing a significant amount of cash in the washroom of a business. When they returned to the business, the washroom door was locked and when opened, a male rushed out, pushing past the complainant and fleeing the store. The empty envelope was found in the washroom. Police attended but area patrols proved negative.

July 27, 6:31 p.m.,4800-block of Central Avenue: Complainant reported their unlocked vehicle left in their parking spot was entered sometime overnight. Several items, including a GPS, DVD player and $20 in change, stolen.

July 27, 7:36 p.m.,4600-block of Clarence Taylor Crescent: Complainant reported their bicycle stolen from the recreation centre. There was a black lock on the bicycle but the bike was not locked to the bike rack. The bicycle is described as a men's blue mountain bike with a red sticker.

July 28, 6:54 a.m.,3600-block of Highway 17: Police conducting traffic enforcement on the highway stopped a vehicle travelling at 127 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. The driver was given a ticket for driving at excessive speed and the vehicle impounded for seven days.

July 30, 4:04 p.m.,3600-block of Highway 17: During a police traffic enforcement a vehicle was clocked travelling 155 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. The driver was given a ticket for driving at excessive speed and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
