An injured bird on Highway 99 was saved Saturday morning thanks to quick action by a Mainroad employee.
According to a Twitter post by DriveBC, an injured cormorant was spotted on the road on the Delta side of the George Massey Tunnel.
The bird was rescued thanks to the road worker’s quick response.
The bird was placed in the worker’s heated truck and was taken to a rescue shelter.
