FHA's CEO is returning to New Zealand

The Fraser Health Authority board announced last week that CEO Dr. Nigel Murray is leaving to return to New Zealand for family reasons.

Nigel Murray is leaving to return to New Zealand for family reasons.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Nigel Murray for his seven years of service as CEO of Fraser Health," said interim board chair Wynne Powell.

As Murray is resigning, no severance costs will result from this transition.

He is finalizing an offer of employment in New Zealand.

Dr. David Ostrow, former CEO of Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, will be the interim president and chief executive officer effective this week.

The Fraser Health Authority provides a wide range of integrated health services to the largest and fastest growing population in B.C. It serves more than 1.7 million people living in communities from Delta to Hope.
