FHA's latest list of COVID-19 exposures at Delta schools

Provincial health officer this week reiterates actual COVID-19 transmissions within schools remain limited

Southpointe Academy has been added again to Fraser Health’s current list of schools that have COVID-19 exposures.

According the health region, the exposure event at the K-12 Tsawwassen private school occurred Nov. 24 and 25.

As far as Delta’s public schools, the list, as of Tuesday, has the following elementary schools posted: Annieville (Nov. 30, Dec. 1 exposure), Chalmers (Nov. 24, 25, 26, 27), Hellings (Nov. 24, 25, 26, 27, 30 and Dec. 1) and Ladner (Nov. 24, 25, 26).

The following secondary schools are on the list: Delview (Nov. 24, 25, 26, and 27), North Delta (Nov. 26, 26, 27) and Seaquam (Nov. 24, 25, 26, 27).

Provincial medical health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said on Monday that there are currently no plans to extend winter break for schools.

She also said that they are not seeing large numbers of transmission events in schools.
