Fraud victims asked to come forward

Delta police are looking for the public's help in finding potential victims in an ongoing fraud investigation in North Delta.

Delta police are looking for the public's help in finding potential victims in an ongoing fraud investigation in North Delta.

Over the course of November and December, investigators became aware of a large number of thefts from vehicles in North Delta. Police believe the suspect would steal items from cars and then return to the victim's residence where he attempted to return the stolen property to the owner seeking some type of financial reward.

The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody, however, investigators believe there are possible victims out there who are not aware they have been defrauded.

"Investigators also believe that this maybe an offence which has been under reported to police," said police spokesperson Const. Ciaran Feenan.

Investigators are asking anyone who may be a victim to contact Const. Mark Bouchard at 604-946-4411 or [email protected].
