Canadians from coast to coast have watched in horror as a wildfire ravages the Northern Alberta city of Fort McMurray forcing tens of thousands from their homes.
Many homes and businesses have been lost in the fire.
Many across the country have reached out with donations of cash, food, clothing and support in a variety of ways.
The Delta Optimist’s parent company, Glacier Media, has launched an online fundraising campaign with all proceeds going to the Canadian Red Cross, which is co-ordinating disaster relief for victims of the fire.
All Red Cross donations are being matched by both the federal and Alberta governments.
