Get unique view of Fraser with annual dinner cruise

Three-hour tour leaves Ladner wharf next saturday

The fourth annual Fraser River Dinner Cruise will set sail from the government wharf at the foot of Elliott Street next Saturday evening.

Organizers were asked to make this at least an annual event by its many supporters who love the river vistas, food and the Dixieland band playing New Orleansstyle traditional jazz along the way.

The Native, a genuine historic sternwheeler, sets off from Ladner Harbour at 6 p.m., gliding by the fascinating floating homes and down Sea Reach into Steveston Harbour for a circle tour, likely catching a sunset along the way.

The cruise then continues up the main channel and back to Ladner Harbour for disembarkation. The round trip takes three hours.

This year, part proceeds will go to help the Delta Marine Unit, based in Ladner Harbour. These highly trained volunteer officers help keep our waters safe and look to the public for support to continue to do this important work.

Tickets (adults only) are available for $89 plus GST and include Cajun food jambalaya and Western cuisine.

Tickets for the cruise are available from Ladner Cruise & Travel Centre, 5019-48th Ave., or by calling 604-946-7641.
