Hosted by the Delta Museum and Archives Society, the Delta Heritage Fair is a two-day event that explores Canadian heritage and traditions through the eyes of youth.

On Friday, May 8, over 90 Delta students will participate in the fair, presenting projects on a variety of themes from Canada's history and heritage at the Harris Barn in Ladner.

Students will be interviewed, present their project displays to a panel of judges as well as take part in heritage workshops and a field trip to the Tsawwassen First Nation Longhouse.

On Saturday, May 9, the fair will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Family-friendly activities, performances and food trucks will be on site. A closing ceremony gets underway at 1 p.m. The fair encourages students from grades 3 to 12 to explore Canadian history and heritage in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment. Using mediums of their choice, students research, display and present stories about Canadian heroes, events, milestones and achievements.
