Lots of sun in the forecast for Sun Fest

The Tsawwassen Sun Festival should live up to its name if the weather forecast holds for the upcoming long weekend. The sun is expected to shine on the 45th edition of the annual summertime celebration, which kicks off Saturday and continues all B.C.

The Tsawwassen Sun Festival should live up to its name if the weather forecast holds for the upcoming long weekend.

The sun is expected to shine on the 45th edition of the annual summertime celebration, which kicks off Saturday and continues all B.C. Day weekend.

The festival features three days of activities, highlighted by the Rotary Parade that will make its way along 56th Street Monday morning.

Winskill Park will play host to much of the fun, including slo-pitch and volleyball tournaments, a classic car show, a Kid's Funzone, food vendors and stage entertainment, which this year will feature the finals of Delta's Got Talent, a youth showcase.

There will also be activities at other venues around town over the long weekend: an antique fair and skateboard competition at the South Delta Recreation Centre, a drive-in movie at Beach Grove Elementary and Bingo at KinVillage.
