Delta’s Luminary Festival returns this weekend.

Delta's fourth annual Luminary Festival will take place tomorrow evening at North Delta's Sunstone Park.

An event for all ages, festival goers are encouraged to use their imagination to create their own luminary (lantern) and/or fanciful illuminated costume.

The Luminary Festival runs from 6 to 10 p.m. with a Parade of Lights scheduled for 8:30 p.m. In addition to luminary displays, the event will feature children's activities, food trucks, fairy station, stilt walkers, drummers, juggler, musical entertainment and more. A concert featuring Soul Stream, a soul/funk/rock band, will follow the Parade of Lights.

Sunstone Park is at 10400 Delsom Cres., but there will be no parking on site. A free shuttle bus will run between the Sungod Recreation Centre, located at 7815-112th St., and the park beginning at 6 p.m.

The use of open flames is prohibited during this event; use battery-operated (LED) devices for illumination.

In case of inclement weather, the event will take place at Kennedy Seniors Recreation Centre, 11760-88th Ave.
