Things didn’t quite measure up for a resident in North Delta last week who was charged with several violations after an apparent road rage incident.

According to Delta Police, a complainant reported that he was involved in a road rage incident just after 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28 in the 8300 block of Highway 17.

Police say the man advised officers that a vehicle attempted to pass him, but he would not allow the truck to do so as the vehicle had been tail-gating him for some time.

“The other driver then drove in the shoulder lane and threw a measuring tape at the semi-truck, causing a minor scratch,” said DPD. “The other vehicle has been the subject of complaint in other road rage incidents. Police attended the other drivers’ residence and issued violation tickets for driving without consideration, pass on right unsafely, and throwing an item that may cause harm.”
