The B.C. Arts Council is seeking applicants for scholarships but aspiring artists must apply by the end of the month.
"The B.C. Arts Council Scholarship Program can provide significant funding for arts students in Delta," says Delta South MLA Vicki Huntington. "I encourage any young or
new artists who are currently enrolled or planning to attend a post-secondary arts program to apply."
The program is designed to support the development
of B.C.'s future professional artists. The scholarship can provide funding of up to $6,000 per year to arts students. Applicants will be assessed on their portfolio and the strength of their application.
"I'm pleased to see that the province recognizes the necessity of supporting and investing in our arts and culture sector," says Huntington.
