The health region is immunizing people ages 40 and over in ‘hot spot’ areas including North Delta.

Thirteen Delta schools are Fraser Health’s latest list of schools that have had recent COVID-19 exposures.

The list, updated Monday on the health region’s website, includes two South Delta schools: South Delta Secondary, which had an exposure event April 19 and 20, and South Park Elementary, which also had an exposure event on those same days.

The rest of the schools are in North Delta.

They include: Cougar Canyon Elementary (April 12, 13), Chalmers Elementary (April 12, 15, 16), Delview Secondary (April 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20), Gray Elementary (April 12, 13, 14, 15, 16), Heath Traditional Elementary (April 12, 16), North Delta Secondary (April 12, 13), Richardson Elementary (April 15, 16, 19, 20), Sands Secondary (April 12, 13, 14), Seaquam Secondary School (April 12, 19, 20), Sunshine Hills Elementary (April 12, 13, 16, 19) and Immaculate Conception (April 12).

Teachers in North Delta were recently made a priority group for vaccination because the community is considered a hot spot for transmission.
