Last week, Delta students dove into the thrilling world of firefighting at the second annual Delta Fire Department Youth Academy.
This initiative, a collaboration between Delta Fire & Emergency Services, Delta Firefighters Association IAFF Local 1763, the City of Delta and the Delta School District, helped ignite passion and real-life skills to 16 eager students.
From classroom sessions to intense firefighter simulations and drills, these students received an immersive firefighting experience like never before.
Guided by expert instructors, students dove into theory in the mornings, and geared up for hands-on action in the afternoons.
All this incredible learning and training took place at Boundary Bay Fire Hall No. 4 and the state-of-the-art on-site training centre.
