South Delta Minor Hockey shone Saturday, Feb. 14 as the Ladner Leisure Centre was the official West Coast location for Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada.

South Delta Minor Hockey Association put together a jam-packed schedule on and off the ice that included a pancake breakfast, live music and the grand re-opening of the newly renovated leisure centre, as well as autograph sessions with former Canuck goalie Kirk McLean and a homegrown baseball star - Toronto Blue Jays prospect Tom Robson. Produced by Rogers, the Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada all-day broadcast on CBC included live celebrations from Delta featuring Sportsnet Central host James Cybulski.

The day culminated with the Vancouver Canucks alumni taking on the Delta police.
