Westham Island Herb Farm in Ladner once again opened its doors Saturday, Sept. 7 to give the public a glimpse at life on a farm for the eight annual Day at the Farm.
Hosted by the farm and the Delta Farmland & Wildlife Trust, the yearly event offers visitors a unique opportunity to visit a real working farm and engage in hands-on learning about local food production.
Visitors had the chance to try their hand at a number of different activities, including harvesting fresh potatoes and learning to milk a demonstration cow. The event also featured entertainment and refreshments, the ever-popular hay wagon farm tour and on-farm habitat displays, as well as plenty of livestock and antique tractors and farm equipment.
