Public is asked to weigh in on master plan for Winskill Park

The Corporation of Delta is looking for the public's input into a master plan for Winskill Park. Beginning Feb.

The Corporation of Delta is looking for the public's input into a master plan for Winskill Park. Beginning Feb. 9, the municipality will start a series of meetings intended to develop a longrange vision in the form of a master plan for the Tsawwassen park, including the Winskill Aquatic and Fitness Centre.

"These public consultations will provide valuable insight into what residents believe will be required for Winskill Park to continue to meet the needs of the community in the future," the Corporation of Delta states on its website.

Meetings with residents, stakeholders and community organizations will be held over the next six months.

The master plan process includes four phases - gathering community input, prioritization of that input, developing a program that will then be put out to the community for

further input and design, where the community will be engaged to provide feedback on a conceptual design and an implementation plan.

The first public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. at KinVillage Community Centre.
