Tsawwassen Collision is returning as the official supporter for the Young Rider Award in this year's Tour de Delta.

The Young Rider Award is given to the best male and female rider under the age of 23.

Community involvement has been a theme over the years for Tsawwassen Collision and with owner Peter Sziklai a fan of cycling and cycle racing, the Tour de Delta is a natural fit.

"We are looking forward to seeing some of the rising stars in cycling compete in our community once again this year," said Sziklai. "We take great pride in being actively involved in our community and feel it is important to support this platform for youth to gain experience in elite level competitions."

The young rider jersey recognizes future talent in the sport of cycling. Most world ranked riders showcase their talents at competitions such as the Tour de Delta early on in their careers.

"Peter is passionate about the sport of cycling and providing support to local community events," said race director Mark Ernsting. "He is committed to being an advocate for providing opportunities for young athletes to gain experience and be recognized for their abilities."

Tsawwassen Collision is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month.
