Residents at The Waterford in Tsawwaseen were busy this week wrapping gifts for the Santa for Seniors’ program through DeltAssist.
As part of the DeltAssist Christmas Hamper program, Santa for Seniors’ offers those over 65 who apply for the hamper the chance to request an additional gift to be hand-delivered just before Christmas.
Twenty-one packages containing gifts such as heating pads, crossword puzzle books, coffee and tea will be delivered along with batches of fresh cookies next week with special care to ensure seniors' health and safety as the gifts change hands.
This is the second year The Waterford and The Wexford facilitated the program in partnership with DeltAssist.
